I am a social worker. I am an army of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VIII towards bringing hope to the poor, vulnerable an disadvantaged Filipinos wherever they are. I joined this profession for personal reasons—having experienced the feeling of needing help with no one to extend a hand. Today, I am committed to empowering the poor, advocating for children's rights, performing case management for families, and teaching them to dream and believe in the value of education. In doing so, I believe that while I may not be able to change the world for everyone, changing the life of even a single child or family is more than enough. This, to me, is an accomplishment that defines my journey as a 25-year-old social worker. #just.ed
